LABOR AND DELIVERY UNIT

Registered nurses in the Labor and Delivery units may give additional medication as listed below while working within these units under the following conditions.

1.  The drug is part of a standard treatment protocol for that unit which has been approved by the Medical Board, and is covered by an order signed by the physician.

2.  The nurse has passed credentialing procedures for use and administration of the drug.
