WILL HAWES, PHARM.D.
Will Hawes is originally from Springfield, Missouri. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Will’s professional interests include critical care and oncology. Will would like to eventually pursue a career as a clinical specialist where he will have the opportunity to precept pharmacy students and residents. In his leisure time, he enjoys running, trying new restaurants, cooking, and traveling. Will would like to extend his deepest gratitude to his girlfriend, family, friends, and mentors for their continued support and encouragement.
TAYLOR JAMES, PHARM.D.
Dr. Taylor James is originally from White Hall, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Taylor’s current professional interests include internal medicine, palliative care, and infectious disease. During her spare time, Taylor likes to spend time with her husband, Ryan, watching TV/movies, exercising, or having game nights with their friends. She is excited about the many opportunities that a PGY1 pharmacy residency will present, and is eager to learn from the experienced preceptors here in the UAMS Department of Pharmacy.
KELSEY MCCAIN, PHARM.D.
Dr. Kelsey McCain was born and raised thirty miles north of the Dallas metroplex in McKinney, Texas. In 2011, she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of North Texas, while playing collegiate volleyball, in Denton, Texas. She later completed her pre-pharmacy coursework at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. In 2017, she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy and graduated with honors in Research and Experiential Education. Currently, emergency medicine, critical care, and implementation are Kelsey’s peak professional interests. Long term career goals include Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Clinical Coordinator, and precepting pharmacy students and residents. Outside of the world of pharmacy, Kelsey spends time with her husband Steven, two Dobermans Scout and Lily, family, and friends. Kelsey extends her gratitude to her husband, parents, family, and close friends that have encouraged and supported her. She is also grateful for the professional investment and roles her mentors have played in her development.
