Evidence-based Prescription Drug Program

The Evidence-based Prescription Drug program (EBRx) is a service unit within the UAMS College of Pharmacy. Established in 2004, it initially developed the preferred drug list for Arkansas Medicaid.  Over the years, EBRx expanded its services beyond formulary management to oversight of the prescription drug program, including prior authorization and appeals management for both the pharmacy benefit and for medically administered medications, rebate management through contracting and auditing, and day-to-day support for many of its partners.

What We Offer

Clinical Services

EBRx offers clinical guidance on drug coverage, formulary management, prior auths, audits, and policy advising to ensure cost-effective, evidence-based healthcare delivery.
