Pre-Pharmacy Requirements

The UAMS College of Pharmacy adopted new prerequisite course requirements for applicants applying for fall 2020 entry and forward. A total of 61 semester credit hours or 97 quarter credit hours of prerequisite coursework is now required instead of previous requirements totaling 69 semester credit hours.  Please see new prerequisite course lists by college below followed by prior versions. If you do not see your undergraduate institution listed below or you attend an institution outside of Arkansas, use the out-of-state institutions prerequisite list.

Applicants may still use former prerequisite requirements for two more academic years (fall 2020 and fall 2021 entry) if preferable; however, applicants applying for fall 2022 forward should use new prerequisite requirements. Contact the Admissions Office at 501-686-8889 with any questions. Requests for transcript reviews may also be sent by email to confirm remaining prerequisite coursework. Please send a clear, legible copy of your transcript with course grades by semester and year to copadmissions@uams.edu.
