Application Process for Geriatric Pharmacy Residency

Application Requirements

Applicants must possess a degree in pharmacy from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college.  The applicant must have completed or in process of completing an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency (or residency in candidate status).  The Applicant must be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas and a member of ASHP.

Applicants must submit the following documents via PhORCAS by Jan. 4:

  • Letter of intent
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation, including one (1) from PGY1 Residency Director
  • Official transcript from pharmacy school

The PGY2 Geriatric Pharmacy Residency conducted by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy, Little Rock, Ark, is accredited by ASHP.

UAMS College of Pharmacy is a drug free work environment, and employees are required to complete a pre-employment drug screening.
