Background
The outpatient pharmacy processes prescriptions for patients being discharged from the hospital, ED patients and patients being followed by physicians in the UAMS Health outpatient clinics. We also offer specialty pharmacy services supported by clinical pharmacists who provide individualized care, medication education, follow-up, and financial assistance. The resident is vital in providing dispensing services as well as transition of care, MTM and discharge counseling services to patients transitioning home from our hospital. The residency is designed to prepare the resident to become a confident member of the health care team with effective and innovation leadership skills.
