Assistant, Associate, Professor Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Summary of Job Duties:
The faculty level position is a 12-month position within Pharmaceutical Sciences on the UAMS main campus in Little Rock. Non-modified faculty member appointments participate in the three mission areas of teaching, service, and research and are expected to be good academic citizens.

The successful candidate will provide functions in teaching, research/scholarly activities, professional development, academic citizenship, and administrative academic service. Candidates with research programs in an area of cancer, therapeutics, neuroscience, cardiovascular, radiation biology, and pharmacology are encourages to apply. Other research and/or institutional opportunities may be available depending on candidate experience and interests. The faculty appointment will be in the Department in the College of Pharmacy. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Position in Pharmaceutical Evaluation & Policy

Summary of Job Duties:

The faculty position is a 12-month, tenure-track or non-tenure track, full-time faculty position in the Division of Pharmaceutical Evaluation & Policy (PEP) on the UAMS main campus in Little Rock. PEP engages in impactful research to inform health policy, improve health care delivery, and enhance outcomes for diverse populations. Our division collaborates with state, national, and international leaders to evaluate and guide policy development, focusing on pharmaceuticals, pharmacy services, and health system innovations. PEP faculty conduct rigorous research in areas such as health economics, comparative effectiveness research, patient-reported outcomes, epidemiology, and health policy analysis.

The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to develop a new or integrate an existing extramurally funded independent research program with PEP, teach in the graduate and professional programs, provide graduate student mentorship, and provide service to the college, university, and profession.

Applicants must have a PhD in a health-related field focused on economics, epidemiology, health outcomes, health policy, biostatistics, informatics, or implementation science.
