UAMS Announces 40 New Full-Tuition Scholarships for Incoming Students in Fall 2026

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) announced today a new initiative for attracting some of the best Arkansas students to UAMS. The program will provide full tuition and fees for 40 exceptional students entering UAMS, including the College of Medicine, with the fall 2026 semester.

College of Pharmacy Adds Two Faculty Members

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy recently welcomed Reaid Hasan, Ph.D., and Tamer Kaoud, Ph.D., as new faculty members. Both join the College of Pharmacy as assistant professors of pharmaceutical sciences.

Pharmacy Graduate Students Take Home AAPS Research Awards

Two graduate students with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy received top marks for their research presentations at the annual American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) PharmSci 360 meeting, held Nov. 9-12 in San Antonio.

College of Pharmacy Residency Programs Receive Accreditation

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) recently surveyed all three residency programs of the UAMS College of Pharmacy and granted full accreditation.
