Research at UAMS

Research at UAMS is key to scientific/medical innovation in Arkansas. Our basic and clinician scientists transcribe cutting-edge research findings into methods for identification, prevention, and treatment of disease to help advance the health of people in Arkansas.

College of Pharmacy Research

College of Pharmacy researchers work with the National Institutes of Health, American Cancer Society, Department of Defense, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, along with other national/international agencies and foundations to advance biomedical research into drug development, benefits and risks of dietary supplements, the treatment and side effects of cancer, and many other research areas. These research efforts have resulted in many patent applications and small companies.
