Dr. Gressler’s research focuses on evaluating and utilizing real-world data to generate evidence for medical devices, with an emphasis on novel analytical methods for assessing device performance. She aims to identify gaps in current data and address them using advanced statistical techniques. Her interest in medical devices was shaped by her experience as an ORISE Fellow at the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, where she supported the use of real-world data infrastructure for the post-market surveillance of medical devices. Additionally, Dr. Gressler’s research includes studying opioid use in vulnerable populations, including pregnant women. She is also currently expanding her work into women’s health and urology.
