Research and Scholarly Interests
I am interested in understanding the everyday lives of folks and communities in order to support widespread access to high-quality, effective, evidence-based healthcare. I use my training as a medical anthropologist, health social scientist, and implementation scientist to build strong connections with research and healthcare infrastructures, promote community-based work, and improve the quality of healthcare services, especially in rural and underserved areas.
Broadly, my research interests focus on how we can improve our understanding of the barriers to improving care, and innovating to ensure that everyone has access to the best care.
