Pharmaceutical Evaluations and Policy
Dr. Ruchira Mahashabde is an Assistant Staff Scientist at the Division of Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Dr. Mahashabde’s educational background includes a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. She brings expertise in analyzing healthcare data to evaluate treatment trends, economic impacts, and patient outcomes across varied therapeutic areas. Her experience includes working with healthcare professionals to extract and interpret clinical data for outcomes assessment. Dr. Mahashabde has a proven track record of collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop study designs, create analytical frameworks, and produce detailed study reports to inform health services research and decisions.

Research and Scholarly Interests
Leveraging real-world evidence (RWE) to improve patient outcomes in oncology, infectious diseases, and other therapeutic areas. I have experience in investigating the impact of novel therapies on survival, treatment response, and quality of life, while also evaluating the effectiveness of treatment. My work includes analyzing health-economics, cost effectiveness, and healthcare resource utilization with a strong emphasis on patient-centered research.
