Research and Scholarly Interests
The Imig laboratory is dedicated to understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms by which fatty acids influence cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic function. We conduct cutting-edge research that includes animal phenotyping, 3-D and organoid cell culturing, drug design, and omics techniques. Researchers work in a collaborative environment that is engaged in the development and testing of drugs to treat cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic diseases.
