Born and raised in Scott, Arkansas, I am the youngest of fifteen children. At the age of seven, my family and I left our farm and moved to the city of Little Rock. While attending Little Rock Central High School, at the age of seventeen I began working at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the telecommunications department. Thirty-four years later, I am still a part of the UAMS family. I transitioned from the telecommunications department to Physical Plant, and from there to the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI). In November of 2012, I was grateful to start working here in the College of Pharmacy. I truly enjoy working with the college of pharmacy students and assisting them as needed. Whether I am showing them their grades or simply conversing with them, the pharmacy students always brighten my day.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family as well as participating within my church community. I have two daughters, ages 26 and 21, and a loving husband of eight years. In June of 2015, we welcomed an addition to the family, a playful white German Shepard. When I have spare time, you may find me talking to the puppy (Bella) through the window, or in front of the television watching the Lifetime Movie Network (LMN). Overall, I find true happiness by helping those around me. I gladly support my colleagues in any way that I can.
