Application Process for Community-Based Pharmacy Residency

Applicants must be graduates of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program and be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas.

How To Apply

The applicant will apply to the UAMS PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency program choosing only one site for the application (one application includes all practice sites) using the Pharmacy Online Centralized Residency Application Service (PhORCAS) and should provide the following:

  1. Completed application
  2. Letter of intent with a statement of career goals and reasons for pursuing a community-based pharmacy practice residency
  3. Verified transcript from pharmacy school
  4. Current curriculum vitae
  5. Three letters of recommendation (each must complete the standard reference form; a separate letter of recommendation is not required)

On-site interviews may be required for applicants at the discretion of the selection committee. All sites participate in the ASHP matching process.

UAMS College of Pharmacy is a drug-free work environment, and employees are required to complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Deadline

All information must be submitted in PhORCAS no later than January 5 of the year in which admission is sought.
